Unbox & Verify Authenticity
Before you begin, ensure your package is intact. Ledger devices come in tamper-evident packaging, but the true verification happens digitally.
What to check:
- The box should contain the device, a USB cable, and blank recovery sheets.
- Crucial: The recovery sheets must be blank. If there are words already written on them, DO NOT USE THE DEVICE. It may be compromised.

Ledger Live is the companion app that allows you to manage your device and assets. It is the only software you should trust to authenticate your device.
